This is a solo short film that I created for my final project in 4th year. The story is about me and my grandfather. I was having a moment where I missed my grandfather.
A narrative about two phases: the zoning-out phase and the real world. A character zones out three times, revealing her way of thinking and perceiving things in her little world, showing how certain objects resemble her grandfather, such as the seashell she finds on the floor. The character begins at the beach, where she is in her zoning-out phase, and we see the waves crashing against her feet and the shore. She gets up, notices a seashell, and grabs it from the sand; as she listens to the music coming from the shell, it reminds her of her grandfather, and tears start to fill her eyes because of the memories and the loss. We transition to her walking into a beautiful forest, which feels magical, and then into her little town. She stops at the town well and throws in the seashell she collected from the beach. The water splashes and the character gazes into the well to see her reflection change into her grandfather's. Shocked, she falls into the water, and when she opens her eyes, she is back in the zoning-out phase, where she sees jellyfish swimming.
